MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- Carlson Wagonlit Travel, a world leader in business travel and expense management, is pleased
to announce the appointment of Rob Deliberto to executive vice president Client Service, Industry Relations, and
Solutions Group North America. He is based in New York and will report directly to Robin Schleien, president North
America, Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
Effective immediately, Deliberto oversees all Client Service, Industry Relations and Solutions Group activities.
Ron Merriman, former executive vice president Client Service North America, has left Carlson Wagonlit Travel to
pursue other opportunities, and Jim Giancola, former executive vice president Solutions Group, has left Carlson
Wagonlit Travel to pursue other opportunities.
Deliberto has more than ten years of experience with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, most recently as vice president Client
Service East Region. He oversaw the client base and operations of the region. During his tenure in the East Region,
Deliberto increased sales and revenue year over year and was instrumental in the retention of both employees and
clients.
Prior to joining Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Deliberto worked for American Express as vice president of Operations
Support for the U.S. where he was responsible for account implementation, facilities, telecommunications, front
and back-office automation, training, procedures, quality control, centralized international and hotel reservations,
and representative office network support. He also worked for Lifeco Travel Service where he oversaw all corporate
and government travel offices within the division.
Deliberto has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hunter College, C.U.N.Y and a Master's of Arts in Organizations
Psychology from NYU. He is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program, University of Minnesota Carlson School
of Management, and United Technology ITO University.
