Second Year Westin Hotels & Resorts Tops Business Travel News' U.S. Hotel Chain Survey

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- For the second year in a row, Westin Hotels & Resorts has been named number one in the upper-upscale category of Business Travel News' ``2001 Survey of Top Hotel Chains.'' Westin received an overall average score of 8.17 out of 10 points, and beat other upper-upscale brands including Intercontinental, Loews, Swisshotels, Meridian and the Peabody Hotel Group, to return to Business Travel News' top spot in this category. And W Hotels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.'s (NYSE: HOT) newest hotel brand, just two years old, debuted this year at the number-five spot in the same category.

Business Travel News, an established trade publication, annually surveys more than 1,500 professional business travel decision-makers, representing Fortune 500 and other companies, for its prestigious hotel chain survey.
