WICHITA, KS -- The Indianapolis Candlewood Suites is now open, the first Candlewood Suites in Indiana and the 98th
nationwide.
The newly constructed hotel, at 8111 Bash St., is conveniently located off Interstate 69 at 82nd Street. It is
about 30 minutes from Indianapolis International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Indianapolis.
Business travelers will appreciate its proximity to offices for Roche Diagnostics, Eli Lilly and Conseco. For leisure
travelers, the hotel is near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, site of the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400.
The hotel is also near the RCA Dome, home to the Indianapolis Colts professional football team, and Conseco Fieldhouse,
home of the Indiana Pacers professional basketball team. Restaurants and shops are within walking or a short driving
distance.
The hotel will offer introductory rates.
Candlewood Suites offers larger-than-average guest suites, which are loaded with amenities and perfectly suited
for business and leisure travelers. The new hotel will have 125 suites: 80 studios, 13 studio doubles and 32 one-
bedrooms. Each suite includes a complete kitchen, 25-inch television, recliner, large business desk, adjustable
executive chair, and two phone lines including data port.
Other amenities include free local phone calls, low-cost long distance, 25-cent soft drinks, free laundry facilities,
free video and CD checkouts and an upscale exercise room. Food items, snacks and sundries are available 24-hours-a-day
at grocery store prices from the honor-based Candlewood Cupboard pantry.
The Indianapolis Candlewood Suites also offers an indoor pool and a hot tub.

The Indianapolis Candlewood Suites is owned by Artek Hospitality under a license agreement with Candlewood Hotel
Co. of Wichita, Kan. Artek Hospitality is an investment group from Louisville, Ky.
Cook & Lee Management of Louisville will operate the hotel. Ron Cook owns and operates the Candlewood Suites
Louisville-Airport hotel and has additional real estate interests in Kentucky. David Lee has developed and built
hotels for many years.
