LAS VEGAS, NV -- Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET) yesterday announced it has realigned its reporting relationships so that Harrah's New Orleans reports to Central Division President Anthony Sanfilippo. He takes over for Jay Sevigny, who will continue as division president for the Rio in Las Vegas.

``In addition to the obvious geographic rationale, the transition will enable Harrah's New Orleans to better coordinate its marketing and operational programs with our other Louisiana and Central Division businesses,'' said Gary Loveman, Harrah's Entertainment Chief Operating Officer.

``It will also provide Louisiana authorities with a single contact point at Harrah's Entertainment, since Anthony is also responsible for our Harrah's Shreveport and Harrah's Lake Charles properties in the state,'' Loveman said.

Sanfilippo recently oversaw a $150 million expansion of the Shreveport property, including a 514-room hotel tower, four restaurants and convention space. In Lake Charles, he is supervising an $11 million renovation to the hotel lobby, guest rooms and ballrooms as part of the property's conversion to the Harrah's brand.

Sanfilippo also oversees Harrah's operations in St. Louis, North Kansas City, Vicksburg, and Tunica, as well as Harrah's Prairie Band casino near Topeka, Kansas, which Harrah's manages for the Prairie Band of Potawatomi Tribe.

Sanfilippo has been with Harrah's since 1983. He was founding general manager at Harrah's Shreveport during its successful opening in 1994. He is a past recipient of Harrah's highest senior management recognition, the Corporate Excellence Award.

Founded more than 60 years ago, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. is the most recognized and respected name in the casino entertainment industry, operating 21 casinos in 17 markets in the United States under the Harrah's, Showboat, Rio and Players brand names.
