Rising Mississippi River May Bring Temporary Closure For Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, Iowa

Press Release: Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc.
April 18, 2001
BILOXI, MS -- Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISLE) executives reported yesterday morning the possibility of a temporary closure due to rising flood waters for the company's Davenport, Iowa property, Rhythm City Casino, within the next several days.

The Mississippi River flooding will not, however, have any affect on the company's Bettendorf, Iowa property, Isle of Capri Casino & Hotel -- which is located five miles upriver from Rhythm City.

Should the flooding result in closure for Rhythm City, it is expected that the property will resume normal operations within two weeks. The company is covered by business interruption insurance, which will offset a substantial portion of the possible loss.

Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. owns and operates 14 riverboat, dockside and land-based casinos at 13 locations, including Biloxi, Vicksburg, Tunica, Lula, and Natchez, Mississippi; Bossier City and Lake Charles (two riverboats), Louisiana; Black Hawk, Colorado; Bettendorf, Davenport and Marquette, Iowa; Kansas City, Missouri; and Las Vegas, Nevada. The company also operates Pompano Park Harness Racing Track in Pompano Beach, Florida.
