Golden Tree Communications Introduces Inn-Connections, High-Speed Internet Access for Hotels and Apartments

Owners and Managers Can Now Offer a Key Guest Amenity Without Upgrading Their Existing Communications Infrastructures

Press Release
April 24, 2001
IRVINE, CA -- Golden Tree Communications today announced its line of Inn-Connections products that feature high-speed Internet access for lodging establishments and multi-unit apartment complexes.

To offer high-speed Internet connections, most hotels and apartment complexes are faced with the cost and disruption that accompanies upgrading existing communications infrastructure. The technology deployed by Inn-Connections enables the sharing of telephone lines for simultaneous voice and Internet high-speed access, and does not involve upgrading communications infrastructures.

``While frequent travelers are among the most technologically savvy segments of the population, they are often frustrated by the inability to have a high-speed Internet connection while staying in many hotels,'' said Tom Skibinski, director of sales and marketing, Golden Tree Communications.

``It is our mission to capitalize on the technology of BCM Advanced Research to provide high-speed Internet access to hotels and apartments at such a reasonable cost that they can afford to offer it as a standard amenity.''

Golden Tree Communications requires no capital investment from qualified lodging establishments or multi-unit apartment complexes that want to provide Inn-Connections High-Speed Internet access for its guests or tenants.

Owners and managers select from several Inn-Connections products to provide high-speed Internet access: high-speed port and wireless Internet for those individuals with notebook computers and Inn-Connections Multimedia Personal Computer with standard monitor or flat panel liquid crystal display (LCD) for those not using a notebook computer.

``Many of our guests are business travelers who must access the Internet to be productive while on the road,'' said Rick Crowder, general manager of the Atrium Hotel and corporate director of rooms for VenQuest Hotel Group.

``The prior solutions for providing Internet access were cumbersome and difficult to install. Our guests have been extremely pleased with Inn-Connections. In some cases, it has been the deciding factor for both guests and representatives of corporate meetings in selecting our hotel over that of a competitor.''

Golden Tree Communications handles installation of both hardware and software; pays Internet service provider charges; and provides 24-hour technical support, maintenance and service for its Inn-Connections products. The company bills lodging establishments and apartment owners a monthly fee based on the number of rooms installed with Inn-Connections' products.
