LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Park Place Entertainment Corp. officials say they will continue to own the Las Vegas Hilton after
a Los Angeles developer failed to close the deal by Monday's deadline.
Park Place executives announced earlier this month that a dispute had arisen over completing the $365 million sale
of the struggling hotel-casino.
Ed Roski Jr., owner of the Silverton hotel-casino in Las Vegas and developer of the $400 million Staples Center
in downtown Los Angeles, already paid a $20 million deposit for the Hilton.
