COLUMBIA, MD -- Humphrey Hospitality Trust, Inc. (Nasdaq:HUMP) yesterday announced that its board of directors
had declared its monthly cash dividend.
The dividend payment schedule for January 2001 to March 2001 is as follows:

The monthly dividend will be paid at the rate of $.077 per share,
which represents an annualized rate of $.924 per share. Based on
Tuesday's, January 9, 2001 closing stock price of $7.25 (or 7 1/4),
the annualized dividend yield is 12.7 percent.
