SIOUX FALLS, SD -- LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: LNET), the leading provider of broadband, interactive television services to the hospitality industry, announced yesterday that it now provides interactive television services to more than 805,000 hotel rooms in the United States, Canada, and 13 other countries served by international licensees.

The company's next-generation interactive digital systems deliver on-demand content to more than 105,000 of those rooms. These systems include a leading-edge digital content server, which greatly expands in-room entertainment options including movies, CD music, music videos, and time-shifted TV programming. The systems also incorporate satellite technology, which dramatically enhances the speed and efficiency of delivering entertainment, information and marketing content to hotel customers. The combination of digital content server and satellite technology improves guest service and revenue potential by allowing hotels and their guests to receive new content more quickly, without on-site visits by service personnel.

More than 135,000 LodgeNet-served rooms feature Internet-enabled TV services, allowing guests to access Web-based news and information, send e-postcards to family and friends, get a hotel receipt via e-mail with LodgeNet's account review/checkout service, and surf the Web.

Nearly 783,000 of LodgeNet's interactive rooms (97.1%) feature on-demand video games, provided by LodgeNet through its agreement with Nintendo of America Inc. These numbers represent new LodgeNet and industry records for in-room game deployment, both in total rooms and percentage of interactive room base.

``These milestones validate the success of our singular focus on the hotel industry: providing hotels and their guests with more choice, convenience, and control in entertainment and information options,'' said Scott C. Petersen, president and CEO for LodgeNet. ``That focus is supported by expertise that ensures reliable systems which are easily deployable to a variety of hotel segments and are intuitive for guest use. It's a backbone that has been refined over the years and is not easily duplicated, positioning us to best help our hotel customers retain a competitive advantage.''
