HOUSTON, TX -- Nevada Gold & Casinos, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: UWIN) announces RCI, a privately-held company
in which it holds an approximate 30% equity interest, reported outstanding 2001 2nd Quarter sales and restaurant
profitability for its wholly owned subsidiary, Internacional Restaurantes do Brasil Ltda (IRB). IRB is Tricon Global
Restaurants (NYSE: YUM) largest Pizza Hut franchise in Brazil operating 19 Pizza Hut restaurants in the city of
Sao Paulo.
Gross revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2001 increased 29% to $7.0 million (in Brazilian Reais) as compared
with $5.4 million for the same quarter last year, while restaurant profitability increased over 200% to $689,000.
