Banyon Harbor Goes GPN

The Timeshare Beat
October 24, 2000
Ben Bregman, the developer of the Banyan Harbor Resort in Lihue, Kauai, has signed an agreement to make RCI Global Points Network available to the resort's 1,700 current owners. Jim Bartlett, former Director of Sales for Embassy Kauai, will head the conversion team.

Additionally, according to Mr. Bregman, all new owners will be able to purchase RCI points for far less than any other resort currently offering the program in Hawaii.

"We continue to offer the best value in timeshare ownership in Hawaii," said Bregman, "with 2-Bedroom every year ownership for $7000 and a point value of 36,000."

Banyan Harbor is a mixed use property with 148 units, of which 34 are in the timeshare program with additional units being added as sales continue. Managed by Outrigger Lodging, it was completely renovated in July of this year.

Just across the street from the famous Kalapaki Beach, the resort is centrally located on the Garden Island: only 2 miles from the Lihue Airport, within 2 miles of Kauai's business center, largest shopping centers, 3 golf courses, dining, and more.

Some of the amenities included for owners and guests at the Banyan Harbor are:

Banyan Harbor Resort is front and center on the island that many visitors are convinced is the most beautiful place on earth, and which is consistently voted the friendliest vacation destination on the planet.

Kauai is an island of mostly small communities nestled along the shoreline and tucked up into the foothills. Lihue, the County Seat and business and commercial center of the Island, has nice residential areas surrounding it and the Island's largest shopping center as well (Kukui Grove Center). This is where you'll land when you go to Kauai, whether you arrive by air or sea.

From Banyan Harbor at Lihue you can easily explore north and west, through Wailua, Kapaa, Kilauea and on to Princeville and the little hamlet of Hanalei; or south and west, through sunny Koloa Town, Poipu, Lawai, Hanapepe and Waimea. Most guests at the resort, however, spend the majority of their time staying put.

The entire population of this island is less than that of many small cities, and only about half a percent the size of Oahu's population. They like it like that, and so do visitors.

The center of the island boasts the wettest spot on earth at Mount Waialeale. Nearby is Alakai, the highest tropical swamp in the world. Add the grandeur of the Waimea Canyon (called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific) large flowing rivers, many waterfalls, exotic plants and birds, miles of sandy beaches-- and Banyan Harbor right in the most convenient spot on the island-- and you have an endless adventure just waiting for you.
