Scottsdale, Arizona - The first ever American Resort Development Association (ARDA) - Arizona Regional Resort Management
Conference will occur Sunday & Monday, August 20, and 21, 2000 respectively, at Scottsdale's Holiday Inn Old
Town. The Conference was jointly announced at Scottsdale by Jerry Sikes, President of Pro Management and David
Bruce, Executive Vice President Vistana West, Co-Chairmen of ARDA-Arizona; in Orlando by Stephany Madsen, Director
of the State Affairs for ARDA; and in Washington D.C. By Randy Goodhope, Director of the ARDA Educational Institute.
The Arizona Conference follows similar efforts in New England at the Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, Vermont on June
5th and 6th; in California at the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort, Carlsbad, California on June 14th and 15th; and
in Hawaii on June 19th and 20th. It will be followed by similar conferences in Orlando, Florida on September 6th
and 7th, and in both the Carolinas and the Rocky Mountains in October of 2000.
Credits for attending the Regional Conferences go toward industry certifications by the ARDA Educational Institute.
Randy Goodhope of the Institute will conduct a training session and administer the AEI qualification test on Sunday
the 20th.
The emphasis of the Arizona conference is Value Added Operations specific to the affairs of Resort Owner Associations,
their Boards of Directors and Resort Management & Operations at all levels.
Anyone involved in Timeshare, Interval Interest, or Vacation Ownership Resort operations or management in any position
from Housekeeping, Front Desk, Maintenance to the Board of Directors are encouraged to attend.
