DALLAS, TX -- ClubCorp, Inc. (``ClubCorp''), the world's largest owner and operator of golf courses, private clubs
and golf-related resorts, today announced that Jeffrey P. Mayer will be joining ClubCorp as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Mayer served most recently as CFO of Bristol Hotels and Resorts (NYSE:BH - news) in Dallas.
``Jeff brings substantial experience as a leader, a comprehensive knowledge of the range of accounting and control
functions, and a wide range of transactional experience to the position of Chief Financial Officer at ClubCorp,''
said Robert H. Dedman, Jr., Chief Executive Officer and President. ``We are very pleased that he will be joining
us and anticipate that he will quickly become a strong member of our management team. We look forward to working
with him and to having the benefit of his broad experience.''
Mr. Mayer, 43, will begin his duties at ClubCorp on April 24, 2000. He most recently served as CFO of Bristol Hotels
and Resorts in Dallas, a position he held from 1996 until that Company's acquisition by Bass PLC earlier this year.
Prior to joining Bristol, Mr. Mayer was Controller at Host Marriott Corporation (NYSE:HMT - news) and, prior to
that, held various senior financial positions at Marriott Corporation. A graduate of the College of William &
Mary, Mr. Mayer began his career as an accountant with Arthur Andersen LLP.
