The Network Connection Taps Comdisco to Build Advanced Networks for Hotel Room Interactive Services

Broadband Network Will Deliver Movies On-Demand, The Web, Other Services to Hotels Nationwide

Press Release
September 21, 2000
PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Network Connection, Inc., (Nasdaq: TNCX) said yesterday it has chosen Comdisco (NYSE: CDO) to design and build high-speed networks to support its InnView(TM) Service in hotels nationwide. InnView is an interactive entertainment and information system for hotel guests, integrating Internet access, movies on demand, games, e-mail and other features.

According to the agreement, Comdisco will provide a complete range of services, including site surveys, consulting and network design for each location; and implementation of Local Area Networks (LAN) for each site and installation of all equipment, including servers and switches.

The 225-room San Francisco Radisson is the first joint project for The Network Connection and Comdisco. Recently, The Network Connection announced two new business wins: A 718-room installation in the Radisson Resort Parkway, Kissimmee, FL., and an agreement to install InnView in two hotels managed by Meristar Hotels & Resorts, the nation's largest independent hotel management company.

``We are pleased to work with The Network Connection and look forward to helping bring their unique services to hotels nationwide,'' said Steve Allen, vice president of product management, Comdisco Network Services. ``InnView offers a single network information and entertainment service that meets the varied needs of today's hotel guests.''

Bob Pringle, president of The Network Connection, said, ``Comdisco was clearly the partner of choice for The Network Connection. Their ability to plan, build and manage our networks enables us to focus on aggressively pursuing new business opportunities in the vastly under-served hotel industry. We are now better positioned to build upon our initial success by offering hotels the benefits of reduced installation time, reliability, and world-class service from a name they can trust.''
