Seven Springs Announces New Senior Management Arrangement

Press Release: Seven Springs Mountain Resort
September 22, 2000
CHAMPION, PA -- The Seven Springs Board announced Sept. 22 the appointments of Scott Bender as its President and Chief Operating Officer and Sandy Ferguson as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

These appointments conclude the Board's review of the Seven Springs senior management arrangements that followed the retirement of Jim McClure, Chairman and President, earlier this summer. That review process included meetings with all shareholders of Seven Springs with regard to the future direction of the resort/conference center. The shareholders concluded the resort should continue to be held by the Dupre Family for the foreseeable future and that significant investment and improvements should be made to ensure its ongoing position as the premier ski, conference and year-round family resort in the mid-Atlantic region. The investment process began earlier this year with the adoption of a dramatic $6.5 million capital improvements program, highlighted by a new skier services building, numerous slope and trail improvements and upgrades to conference and meeting facilities, and an enormously successful sale of season ski passes for the upcoming 2000-01 season.

Scott Bender, President and Chief Operating Officer commented that, ``These steps give us great momentum going into this year's ski season. The entire Seven Springs team enthusiastically looks forward to building Seven Springs and enhancing its position as the region's premier family resort and conference center.''
