ORLANDO, FL -- InnHanse Corp., an Orlando-based technology firm that engineers Internet and e-commerce systems
and services for the hospitality industry, and Configurations, a trade show marketing and design firm have announced
the merger of the two companies.
The merger formally brings Configurations' convention and trade show marketing expertise into the fold of hospitality-related
e-commerce that is the core business of InnHanse. Configurations is owned by Rajiv Kapur, who is also the executive
vice president of sales and marketing for InnHanse. Financial terms of the agreement have not been made public.
The two companies will continue to operate at their respective Orlando locations and staffing levels will remain
unchanged, according to Himesh Patel, CEO, InnHanse Corp.
``Configurations represents a valuable service that we can offer to meeting and convention planners,'' said Patel.
``With its integrated marketing approach to trade shows, Configurations is able to show clients how to secure a
significantly higher return on investment before, during and after an industry convention is held,'' he added.
``We are now able to offer a portfolio of secure, on-site, online communications and direct marketing for exhibitors
and attendees that is unmatched today in the meetings and convention business,'' said Kapur. ``The combination
creates a progressive marketing dynamic for our client base with a measurable return on investment.''
Configuration, with offices in Orlando and Hollywood, Fla., has 35 employees. InnHanse Corp. has 45 employees.
The announced merger is the latest is a series of alliances and partnerships that also includes Sun Microsystems,
Lucent Technologies, Alcatel and Cable & Wireless.
Configurations, founded in 1989, is a marketing and design company that specializes in branding and marketing through
trade shows and special events. Configurations integrates strategy, design themes, graphics, and architecture of
the exhibit to complement the show environment. It manages all of the production, deployment and logistics for
shows.
InnHanse Corp. is a privately held company that engineers custom, integrated computer and telecommunications products
and services designed to implement e-business and e-commerce for the hospitality industry. It provides high-speed
Internet access via thin client workstations in every guest room, e-mail and in-room guest services: digital video
on demand and virtual office capabilities that don't require laptop computers. InnHanse offers the hotel and convention
industries a single source to fulfill any and all Internet, web development, property management, networking and
