FORT WORTH, TX -- Crescent Real Estate Equities Company (NYSE:CEI) and its subsidiaries yesterday announced awards
bestowed upon its world-class resorts and spas for the year 2000.
Canyon Ranch, the world's leader in destination and health/fitness resorts, was named the number one spa in the
world by Travel & Leisure magazine's ``World's Best'' for its Tucson location.
Ventana Inn & Spa, in Big Sur, California, soars 1,200 feet above the Pacific Ocean in the Santa Lucia Mountains.
Ventana was named to Conde Nast Traveler's ``Gold List Issue,'' while its Cielo Restaurant received Mobil Travel
Guide's ``Four-Star'' award for the 16th consecutive year in a row.
Desert Mountain, an 8,000-acre country club community set in the high Sonoran Desert in Scottsdale, Arizona, was
named the ``Best Golf Course'' in the world by the Robb Report. Robb Report is the preeminent monthly publication
for purveyors of luxury goods and holds a position of authority as the trendsetter in the luxury industry. Recently,
Desert Mountain was named the ``Top Country Club'' in Arizona by Club Leaders Forum in its 2000 Platinum Clubs
of America ranking.
Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, located in the Sonoma Valley just 40 miles north of San Francisco, received the Mobil
``Four Star'' and AAA ``Four Diamond'' awards for 2000. Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa was named ``Best Resort Spa''
by Gourmet magazine for the previous three years.
Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek, the prime ski-in/ski-out, 1,700-acre mountain resort in the heart of Beaver Creek Village
in Colorado, received Conde Nast's ``Reader's Choice Award'' for the fifth consecutive year. Its new Allegria Spa
was awarded The Denver Post's Best of Colorado honor for the ``Best Spa'' for the second year in a row.
The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center is set in the heart of a 27,000-acre forest community in The Woodlands,
Texas, just north of Houston. It has received the ``Gold Key'' award for consistent excellence in serving the meetings
industry by Meetings & Conventions. The Center also received Meetings & Conventions' ``Gold Tee'' award
for excellence in golf and meetings facilities.
