KANSAS CITY, MO -- Mike Casola, general manager, The Fairmont Kansas City at the Plaza (formerly the Ritz-Carlton)
announced yesterday that the hotel will conclude Kansas City's 71st Annual Country Club Plaza Lighting Ceremony
with a spectacular 20-minute fireworks display. On November 23, The Plaza Lighting Ceremony will begin at 7 p.m.
(CST), lights will be turned on at 7:30 p.m., and at 8 p.m. the fireworks display will begin shooting from the
pool area at The Fairmont.
Celebrating their first year on the Country Club Plaza, The Fairmont Kansas City will dedicate this special show
to all Kansas Citians as a token of the hotel's appreciation for the community's warm welcome.
"We are so excited to be part of such a wonderful city, as well as part of this time-honored tradition, and
wanted to do something spectacular to showcase our admiration," said Casola.
In addition to the fireworks display, The Fairmont Kansas City will be providing complimentary hot chocolate in
the area in front of the hotel's waterfall. The hotel is located at 401 Ward Parkway in Kansas City, Mo.
