Brussels -- One of Scandinavia’s largest conference, business and resort hotels has joined Radisson SAS Hotels
& Resorts. Ronneby Brunn, a spring resort dating back to 1705 has 265 guest rooms and suites. The hotel has
been re-named Radisson SAS Ronneby Brunn Hotel, allowing the international hotel chain to put Ronneby, often referred
to as “the garden of Sweden”, on the world map.
Ronneby is situated in the south of Sweden, at about 500 kilometres driving distance to Stockholm. In this charming
town, the Radisson SAS Ronneby Brunn property is beautifully located in a spring park with waterfalls, a Japanese
garden, old spring halls, and a well from the beginning of the 18th century where one can still drink well-water.
The management company Ronneby Brunn is owned by Norwegian Norlandia Hotels A/S, whose Director for Sweden, Ståle
Thorsen, says; “To convert hotels to other chains is a common procedure for Norlandia. The co-operation we now
enter with Radisson SAS will be the best possible for Ronneby Brunn.”
Ronneby Brunn’s General Manager, Christian Mörkstedt, adds: “The co-operation with Radisson SAS allows us
into a large international sales organisation as well as a reservation system spanning worldwide. We will be able
to market ourselves internationally with considerably more power, which I find very important considering the rapid
development of international and IT companies in the region.”
120 guestrooms have undergone complete renovations, while the lobby, entrance, reception, and the restaurant, seating
600 people, will also undergo some works starting in March of next year.
Among the hotel facilities are 33 conference rooms and a congress hall for up to 600 people. For evening activities,
the hotel has a night club for 700 guests, an out-door roof-covered barbecue terrace for 600 people, a cocktail
bar, a banquet hall for up to 300 persons and a steakhouse. Free access to Internet is offered in the hotel lobby.
The hotel also offers a relax centre with solarium, sauna, massage and gym. There is a heated Olympic-size outdoor
swimming pool with a diving board and a 10-metre diving-tower, facing a water chute. Golf players can enjoy a beautiful
18- hole course or practise on a miniature golf. In addition, the hotel is surrounded by six tennis courts, a
football and a rugby field, a horseback riding centre as well as some jogging tracks. One can also go salmon fishing
in the Ronneby stream.
Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts currently includes 104 hotels in operation and 30 hotels under development in
38 countries and is the sole franchisor in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa for Radisson Hotels & Resorts
Worldwide.
