MINNEAPOLIS,MN -- Carlson Wagonlit Travel, a world leader in business travel and expense management, is pleased
to announce the appointment of Michael Lyons as vice president Business Development Solutions Group. He is based
in Philadelphia and reports directly to Jim Giancola, executive vice president Solutions Group, Carlson Wagonlit
Travel.
In his new role, Lyons is responsible for developing new business opportunities for the Solutions Group with both
existing and prospective clients.
Before accepting his new position, he was vice president/general manager for McGettigan Partners, one of the largest
meetings management firms in the United States. Prior to joining McGettigan Partners, Lyons worked for Carlson
Wagonlit Travel in a variety of roles including senior vice president Sales; vice president Strategic Sales; and
vice president Business Development for the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate Division. Additionally, Lyons has
worked as executive vice president of EGR International in New York; vice president of Sales Travelmation Corporation;
and vice president of Marketing Rosenbluth Travel.

Lyons received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame.
