Company Press Release
March 1, 2000
YOSEMITE, CA -- Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite has earned the American Automobile Association's prestigious Four-Diamond
rating for the 9th consecutive year.
The Four-Diamond designation is presented by the venerable automobile association to only the top 3% of resorts
and hotels in the United States. The AAA TourBook's Four-Diamond standards are exceedingly high and indicate excellence
in a property's rooms, public spaces, amenities, ambiance and service.
``We remain extremely proud of our Four-Diamond rating here, as it continues to position Tenaya Lodge as the premier
resort servicing Yosemite and our mountain communities,'' said Paul Ratchford, general manager for Tenaya Lodge
at Yosemite.
Tenaya Lodge turns 10 this June. Fifteen employees have served at the property since the 1990 opening, and dozens
more have worked at the High Sierra Nevada resort for more than five years. This continuity frames the Tenaya Lodge
guest experience and helps in establishing Tenaya Lodge's Four-Diamond environment.
Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is a deluxe mountain lodge resort located on California State Highway 41, just two miles
from Yosemite's most popular entrance -- the South Gate -- where year-round access and quick entrance to the park
are guaranteed. Tenaya Lodge is 55 miles north of Fresno Yosemite International Airport, three and one-half hours
from the San Francisco Bay Area and four and one-half hours from the greater Los Angeles area.
Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is a Destination Hotels and Resorts property. For more information and reservations, call
