Over 55 Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Participate in Hyatt's National Blood Drive

Hyatt's Corporate Office To Contribute as Well
Company Press Release
June 29, 2000
CHICAGO, IL -- As blood is needed most before the Independence Day holiday, from Monday, June 26 through Friday, June 30, 2000, over 55 Hyatt hotels and resorts across the country will take part in Hyatt Hotels Corporation's second annual National Blood Drive. Hyatt's Corporate Office in Chicago will also be participating.

Called the World's Largest Blood Drive, in hopes of receiving a record-breaking number of participants, the event is a nationwide blood drive program to increase blood donations from Hyatt Hotel employees and to bring national attention to the need for blood during the summer. The program's sponsoring partners are Hyatt Hotels Corporation, America's Blood Centers and the American Red Cross.

``At Hyatt, we are happy to contribute at this time of historical need and are grateful to our employees and guests for participating,'' said Linda Olson, senior vice president, human resources, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. ``Last year we were very successful in helping the cause and hopefully this year we will help even more people. We look forward to continuing this extremely worthwhile event for years to come.''

During the summer, blood is needed most, especially before and after the Independence Day holiday, which marks a critical period of low blood supplies nationwide. It is expected that Hyatt's World Largest Blood Drive campaign will greatly contribute to the anticipated shortage.
