DALLAS, TX -- Rosewood Hotels & Resorts said yesterday that its resort property on the island of Vieques, the
Martineau Bay Resort, will open December, 2000, following the conclusion of supplemental financing of the project
by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the Puerto Rico Tourism Development Fund, and Banco Popular de Puerto Rico. A
celebration of the completion of construction of this destination resort will occur in early October.
Hiring for the resort will begin within the next 30 days. Expansion work on the Vieques Airport to accommodate
the anticipated increase in visitors to the island will be completed prior to the opening of the Resort.

Rosewood's Martineau Bay will have 156 guest rooms, including 20 suites, a spa and fitness center, meeting and
banquet facilities, swimming pools, tennis courts, and children's center.
