Starwood Selects Daylight Software as Sales and Catering System Partner

DOVER, NH -- Starwood Hotels and Resorts has added Daylight enterprise as an authorized sales and catering system for deployment in its properties worldwide. Daylight was selected based on its ability to meet the wide-ranging needs of Starwood's various hotel brands.

``After an exhaustive due diligence process, it became clear that the Daylight enterprise solution offers clear competitive and functionality advantages for Starwood,'' says Chris Wichers, Vice President of Sales Technology for Starwood. Wichers says enhancing the productivity of sales and catering teams, nonproprietary interfaces with the property management systems, product scalability and Daylight's training and support capabilities were important criteria in the selection process. ``And we were particularly impressed that Daylight products are fully Internet enabled,'' Wichers said.

Starwood hotels may select a variety of Daylight sales and catering products through the agreement, including Daylight enterprise. Daylight Dimensions, Daylight's integrated OLAP (On Line Analytical Reporting) module will provide powerful new ways of reporting at both the property and multi- property levels. ``The Daylight Dimensions reporting applications will add tremendous speed and accuracy to management reporting,'' said Bob Moore, Sr. Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for Starwood.

Daylight enterprise will also integrate tightly with Siebel Systems via TWOMS (Two Way Open Meeting Specification) to provide total round trip lead management.''
