SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Further strengthening an association by proximity, The Argent Hotel San Francisco is now a
proud corporate sponsor of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The Argent and SFMOMA are located within
one block of each other on Third Street in San Francisco's thriving SOMA district.
As the first step in the partnership, The Argent is the Hotel Sponsor of SFMOMA's long awaited exhibition Sol LeWitt:
A Retrospective, premiering from February 19 -- May 30, 2000. The exhibition will be the first comprehensive examination
of the work of Sol LeWitt, one of the most important American artists of the 20th century and a pioneer of the
Conceptual Art Movement.
Uniquely situated at the crossroads of San Francisco's cultural and commercial districts, The Argent Hotel boasts
a remarkable collection of contemporary paintings and sculpture. The collection, valued at over $1.5 million, includes
works by David Nash, Norman Galinsky, Isamu Noguchi and Roy Lichtenstein.

murals in our restaurant, to the Lichtenstein triptych in the lobby,'' said Don Timbie, Managing Director of The

To kick-off its sponsorship of the exhibition, The Argent also introduced today its ``Experience SFMOMA'' package,
which includes two VIP passes to the museum, valet parking and a one-night stay in one of the hotel's newly remodeled
guestrooms, starting at $179(1). Every room at The Argent features a floor-to-ceiling window, many with panoramic
views overlooking the dramatic Mario Botta-designed museum.
