ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 2000--Statement From Adam's Mark Hotels & Resorts:
``The Department of Justice received a considerable set back this week in their effort to convict Adam's Mark Hotels
of discrimination by their improper presentation of their lawsuit. The Attorney General presented her lawsuit in
a manner that implies that Adam's Mark has already been tried and convicted which is far from the case. The Justice
Department tried to raise a smoke screen which would obscure the fact that they do not have material to support
their allegations of discrimination. The judge in her order of Jan. 18, 2000 refused to allow this unfair effort
