ALEXANDRIA, VA -- New leadership heading the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA) promises
to propel electronic distribution within the worldwide hospitality industry.
HEDNA with its EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) chapter will offer its first Global Meeting - embracing technological
ventures of the United States and EMEA regions - May 16-18, 2001, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Leading HEDNA in 2001 is Caryl Helsel of Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group, Inc., serving in her second year
as the association's president. The following is a list of new HEDNA officers.
``The HEDNA Board of Directors moves into the new year with such a talented group of people representing the
industry's leading companies,'' said HEDNA President Caryl Helsel. ``Our accomplishments in 2000 improved communication,
influenced industry progression and enhanced membership value. We will establish and announce HEDNA goals for 2001
at our first Board Retreat held at our headquarters in Alexandria, Va., Feb. 4-5.''
The five new board members to serve as Members at Large are: Roland Tanner, Pegasus Hospitality Solutions; Audrey
Mattly, Carlson Hospitality Worldwide; Tammy Peter, Cendant Corporation; Judith Burns, Hospitality Technology Consulting;
and Terry Bradshaw, WizCom International. Tim Cochran of Data Interchange Standards Association will continue to
serve HEDNA as the Executive Director.
To attract additional top decision-makers to HEDNA, the association appointed two Executive Advisors. The two appointees,
who will also guide HEDNA in its strategic direction, are Greg Jones, President and CEO of Worldres.com, and Scott
Anderson, President and CEO of Richfield Hospitality.
