Dec. 12, 2000 - The ballyhooed opening of Crested Butte's Club Med resort hotel has been delayed again, displacing
hundreds of vacationers during the crucial holiday season.
On Friday, officials at the 261-room, all-inclusive hotel called guests who had reserved rooms from Dec. 15 through
Dec. 22 and told them the hotel would not be open.
"I paid for a vacation they will not honor," said Peter Boyd, a New York City businessman who made a
reservation early last week to stay at the Club Med Crested Butte Family Ski Resort with his son during the week
before Christmas.
