Press Release
December 7, 2000
VANCOUVER, WA -- International Bed and Breakfast Pages has launched BnB4Sale.com to accommodate a growing ``inns
for sale'' business.
The new internet portal is geared exclusively to those interested in buying or selling a bed and breakfast-style
inn.
According to business manager Leeza Morris, a listing on BnB4Sale.com may include photos, a floor plan, detailed
descriptions and a link to the inn's own website.
BnB4Sale is a spin-off of International Bed and Breakfast Pages (IBBP.com), a guide for travelers seeking bed and
breakfast accommodations. One of the original portals of its kind on the web, 6-year-old IBBP.com lists hundreds
of inns throughout the world. IBBP.com links directly to BnB4Sale.com.
``BnB4Sale is a natural progression,'' says Morris. ``More and more of our clients were using IBBP.com to list
their inns for sale. So we devoted a separate site to help buyers and sellers find each other.''
Since its inception in October, BnB4Sale.com has generated favorable responses from innkeepers and real estate
professionals. Carl Fischer, associate broker with Re/Max of Purcellville, Virginia attributes his client's listing
to an ``immediate and constant'' stream of buyer prospects. ``We had at least five out-of-state prospects who traveled
to the property in the first two weeks of the listing,'' he says. ``The pace of this listing and subsequent sale
is unheard of in Reedville, Virginia, and I can only believe it happened because of internet exposure.''
``It makes sense,'' says Morris. ``The internet is a proven marketing tool for the real estate industry. And BnB4Sale
is essentially a one-stop shopping source for a segment of that industry, the bed and breakfast trade.''
