JW Marriott Hotel Miami on Brickell Opens with eRoomSystem's Refreshment Systems Valued at Nearly $300,000

Marriott Extending an Eight-Year Tradition with eRoomSystem

Press Release
October 12, 2000
LAS VEGAS, NV -- eRoomSystem Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ERMS), a leading supplier of in-room technological amenities to the lodging industry, today announced that the JW Marriott Hotel Miami on Brickell opened last month with eRoomSystem 5000SD Refreshment Centers in each of its 280 guest rooms. The use of eRoomSystem Refreshment Centers extends an eight-year relationship between eRoomSystem Technologies, Inc. and Marriott hotels.

"This installation of our refreshment centers has special significance," said Steven L. Sunyich, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company. "Our first Marriott installation was over 8 years ago at the Marriott Dadeland. Some of the Marriott Dadeland owners are also involved as owners of the JW Marriott Hotel Miami on Brickell. Years ago, these people put their faith and trust in us as a young company -- and it confirms the adage that if you build a quality product and provide good service it pays off in the long run. After 8 years, the refreshment centers we installed at the Marriott Dadeland are still going strong. Our goal is, and always has been, to provide the best products and service. It is gratifying to have such long-term satisfied customers."

The 280 Refreshment Centers were purchased by the JW Marriott Hotel Miami on Brickell for $285,000, and each include the exclusive eRoomSystem MultiVend system that virtually eliminates interruptions experienced by hotel guests as a result of hotel personnel checking or restocking the minibar. The company's goal is to make the guest feel relaxed in an atmosphere that has many of the amenities found at home. These units also include the recently introduced 3.0 eRoomWise software configuration, software that leads the industry in functionality and effective system management.

"The JW Marriott Hotel Miami is one of the finest new hotels in the City of Miami. We have spared no expense in providing our guests with elegance and comfort. So naturally we picked the best in-room service providers of refreshment centers, eRoomSystem Technologies," said Robert Fabiano, General Manager of the JW Marriott Hotel Miami. "I was the GM at the Marriott Dadeland and was so impressed with the eRoomSystem product and the service we received over the years that I knew there was only one supplier we could trust for providing the best service for our guests. There was never an issue of what refreshment centers would go into this property."
