BILOXI, MS -- Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc., (Nasdaq: ISLE), one of the ten largest publicly held gaming companies in the nation, continued its expansion trend today. Officials with the company announced this morning that the Missouri Gaming Commission unanimously approved the company's acquisition of the Flamingo Casino in Kansas City.

The approvals included findings of suitability and licensure of the company's Kansas City subsidiary. The gaming commission action was the final contingency to the transaction, which is expected to be completed within the next week.

Bernard Goldstein, chairman and chief executive officer, said, ``We are very excited about completing this transaction and entering into the Kansas City market. This property, coupled with the Boonville, Mo. development -- which was approved last month -- provides us with a significant presence in Missouri.''
