LONDON, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Irish entrepreneur Denis O'Brien has sold his entire 12.7 percent stake in golf club
operator PGA European Tour Courses (quote from Yahoo! UK & Ireland: PGA.L) to a Portuguese golf resort which
he controls, a statement to the London market said on Thursday.
The founder and former boss of Irish telecom firm Esat, who has made a bid for the fixed line business of Esat
rival eircom Plc (quote from Yahoo! UK & Ireland: EIR.L), sold the 4.4 million pound stake to Quinta do Lago
on December 5.
O'Brien has been snapping up PGA shares this year, and the stock has rallied from a year low of 33 pence on speculation
it was looking like a potential bid target. The stock closed at 52-1/2 pence on Thursday.
