MIAMI, FL -- Bass Hotels & Resorts (LON:BAS) (NYSE:BAS; ADR) has announced that it will pay a 15% commission
to agency consortia, agency service providers and BTA's who book travel at any Inter-Continental Hotel and Resort
in Central and South America, from January 1 through June 30, 2001.
``We see this initiative as an excellent venue to further introduce our expanded Inter-Continental hotels portfolio
in Latin America,'' says Jorge Mejia, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Bass Hotels & Resorts Latin America.
``The offer is even more compelling in light of recent commission reduction announcements throughout the travel
industry.''
