Press Release: The Elysian Société des Châteaux
October 31, 2006
VAIL, CO -- Just in time for the ski season, the first elegant property in a new global network of luxury vacation
residences comes to market. The Elysian Société des Châteaux introduces a new concept in vacations
that combines the benefits of deeded home ownership with the flexibility of a destination club, beginning with
the 7,128 square foot Château du Faucon in Vail, Colorado.
“In addition to gaining access to an unprecedented level of amenities and services and the ability to vacation
at other estates of the Société, these Owner-Members will enjoy the benefits of a real property asset
with liquidity and potential for appreciation. This first estate will set the standard of luxury and elegance
for all future residences of the Société,” said David M. Disick, Founder and President- of the Elysian
Société des Châteaux.
Among the Société’s many distinct attributes that distinguish it is the caliber of its residences
– only multi-million dollar, single-family residences will be available. The anticipated sale price is $1.4 million
for each fractional ownership in the Château du Faucon, limited to ten Owner-Members.
The Château du Faucon was built in 1997. Located within the exclusive enclave of Glen Lyon in Vail, the
château is on the south bank of Gore Creek, just 200 yards from the base of Vail Mountain. From both inside
and outside, there are idyllic views of the creek, the mountain and the valley. The château has six spacious
bedrooms, including a grand master suite with a sitting room and sun porch. Château du Faucon has one of
the only enclosed courtyards and private sand beaches within Vail. Other signature features include a three room
entertainment wing, complete with a bar and screening room. There is also an attached, but separated, two bedroom
guesthouse plus office (1,156 square feet combined) with private entrances.
The Elysian Société des Châteaux has engaged Gilbert H. Holmes of the Interior Design Group,
an acclaimed interior designer, to furnish the Château du Faucon. Mr. Holmes has produced stunning designs
for his clients in the U.S. and internationally for more than 15 years. Gilbert's work has appeared on the cover
of New York Living Magazine and other publications.
Each Owner-Member is guaranteed five weeks of access to the Château du Faucon with the option of unlimited
use at no further charge, subject to availability. Annual membership in the Société des Châteaux
itself is anticipated to be $30,000, which will cover common charges.
The pioneering fractional ownership concept provides Owner-Members of the Elysian Société des Châteaux
with the property benefits of second home ownership, and with the flexibility of a fractional interest that reflects
the costs of actual vacation use. Moreover, because owners are purchasing real property, they have access to competitive
rate mortgage financing that the Société can help to obtain.
Owner-Members of the Société des Châteaux have the freedom to sell their fractional interest
-- when they choose and to whom they choose -- through an established retail brokerage firm such as Keller Williams
Realty, a nationwide firm with whom the Société has a preferred relationship.
Owner-Members will enjoy the graciousness of chateau living with other, superior benefits -- personalized concierge
services provided by local experts, customized vacation experiences, and access to all future residences in the
Elysian Société des Châteaux network. Owner-Members will have access to the finest clubs,
services, and recreational facilities that each distinctive locale offers. In Vail, it is anticipated that the
Château du Faucon Owner-Members will be afforded privileges to the Cascade Resort and Aria Spa. In addition,
each residence will offer a la carte services for a nominal charge, such as a private chef or masseur, to enhance
the experience of individual vacationers.
Elysian Société des Châteaux will assure that each property in its portfolio is kept in prime
condition, relieving Owner-Members of the mundane concerns of maintaining a luxury vacation home. Pre-arrival
services include stocking the pantry, coordinating daily housekeeping that includes dishwashing, providing transportation
to and from the airport, providing special equipment such as age-appropriate children’s toys and making reservations
for restaurants, tee times and attractions. In addition, Owner-Members will have secure space on site to store
personal belongings when not in residence.
Owner-Members of the Elysian Société des Châteaux will be an elite society of château
owners who share guest privileges at fully staffed, ultra-luxurious estates, worldwide. They will meet on occasion
to celebrate the château lifestyle experience. In addition to enjoying their vacation home, Owner-Members
will have the opportunity to reserve vacations in a network of prestige locations knowing that -- whether in Vail,
Deer Valley, Utah, Maui, Jackson Hole, New York City or San Francisco -- it will be a trophy residence.
