WindPath Sailing, Inc. Introduces Fractional Use Sailing to the Fort Myers Area

Press Release: WindPath Sailing
October 31, 2006
FORT MYERS, FL -- WindPath Sailing brings fractional use yachting to the Fort Myers area. WindPath Sailing of Florida, LLC, provides a new and unique opportunity to use a brand new Catalina sailboat through a shared membership program -- without the commitments and financial obligations normally associated with yacht ownership.

"WindPath's program opens the door for people who have wanted to get out on the water, but have hesitated because of financial or other burdens associated with owning a sailing yacht," said Ian Treibick, president and founder of WindPath Sailing, Inc, "Our first Florida location represents a major step forward for WindPath as a national sailing presence.

"Bob Johnson, WindPath Sailing of FL base owner explained, "Owning a sailboat requires significant time and financial commitments that many would be sailors are not ready to make. WindPath removes all of the usual commitments associated with yacht ownership and allows members to enjoy their time on the water with friends and family."

"Many of WindPath's members can afford their own boat, but they've chosen to allow us to deal with all the issues associated with ownership so they can just enjoy affordable luxury sailing." Johnson added.

WindPath's innovative program enables Members to sail or relax on a brand new Catalina yacht a minimum of seven times per month. Members may choose a monthly or annual fee that is usually less than the cost of the marina slip fees alone. WindPath handles all aspects of maintenance, insurance, scheduling and refueling, as well as offering a comprehensive training program for new or inexperienced sailors.

Members schedule time slots via WindPath's proprietary, real-time online scheduling software. They can reserve time slots instantly and book future trips up to 12 months in advance.

All of WindPath's Catalinas are fully loaded with the options buyers and members desire the most. Some features of a typical yacht include an in-mast furling system, electric anchor windlass, wheel steering with auto pilot, GPS chart plotter, air conditioning, separate shower stall, microwave, flat screen television with DVD player and CD player.

WindPath of FL's fleet is based on the Catalina line of 30-50 foot yachts. The first yacht, a 2007 Catalina 350, will be christened "Beam N Brooke" available November 15, 2006. It will be berthed at the beautiful Burnt Store Marina, minutes from sailing on Charlotte Harbor with easy access to the Gulf, Fort Myers, and Naples. Plans to introduce WindPath to other Florida locations as well as around the US are also in the works.
