Crotched Mountain Resort General Manager James Hartley and Wife Celebrate First Child

PORTLAND, ME -- Crotched Mountain Resort General Manager James Hartley and his wife Maribeth welcomed their first child recently. Their daughter Caroline Mae was born on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at 7:53 P.M. in Rochester New Hampshire. She weighed 10 lbs, 4 oz, and was 21 ½ inches long.

"We're thrilled with the arrival of Caroline Mae. We really couldn't be happier. Our heartfelt thanks to the Dr. Gaire from Caring Partners and the team of nurses at Frisbie Memorial hospital, all of which treated us with the respect and TLC you dream about. Kudos to Dr. Hubbard and Dr. DeJohn at Rochester Pediatrics as well, for their thoughtful guidance. As first-time parents, the level of care and attention we've received from everyone has been extremely comforting," states the proud parents.

A native of Maine, Hartley attended the University of Maine receiving a B.S. in Business Management in 1992, and then spent 10 years serving in several managerial roles in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountain ski industry, building the foundations of a broad business acumen that would later serve him well as General Manager of Crotched Mountain Resort. Hartley started with the company in Jan 2003, as a sales/marketing specialist, before taking on the Resort Manager position at CMR's sister property, the much heralded Rangeley Lake Resort, where he guided operations from July '03 to September '04. After an August '04 marriage to his wife Maribeth, the Hartley's relocated to New Hampshire, to take the reins of Crotched Mountain Resort. Together with developers Perry Williams & Paul Peck, and Project Director Patrick Warner, Hartley rounds out a CMR management team with more than 50 years experience in the vacation industry, and has guided Crotched Mountain Resort from its inception, becoming one of New England's premier vacation ownership destinations.
