MIAMI, FL -- Interval International, a leading global vacation exchange company, has announced it has awarded the
industry-renowned Five Star Award® to Peninsula Island Resort and Spa. The luxury vacation ownership property
is located on South Padre Island, a barrier between the Gulf of Mexico and Laguna Madre Bay off the southern tip
of Texas. The seven-acre resort, which recently celebrated its grand opening, is positioned at the end of the two-and-a-half-mile
(four kilometer) Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway that connects South Padre to the mainland.
The property includes 42 units ranging in size from one- to three-bedrooms. Every unit features upscale, contemporary
décor, including Italian tiles and granite countertops and plasma television screens. On-site amenities
include a concierge desk, babysitting and a kid's club, room service, laundry facilities, golf carts to motor around
the property, and a convenience store/gift shop. Owners can also enjoy a 250-foot infinity pool with a poolside
bar, a full-service restaurant, a gym, and a spa, which offers guests a wide-range of services.
