Press Release: Cap Maison
October 24, 2005
ST LUCIA -- Located on the only remaining land that can be developed for residential and hotel purposes in Cap
Estate, the beautiful Northern tip of St Lucia, Cap Maison, a new upmarket resort development is scheduled to open
early 2007.
The development offers just 21 apartments between 1,670 and 4,930 square feet and the owners can use them up to
nine weeks a year. For the remainder of the year the apartments will be part of a hotel rental pool managed by
the Cap Maison Management Company. Apartments are priced at between US$550,000 and US$1,400,000. There is a guaranteed
5% return on the investment for the first year. Thereafter, owners will be sharing the net rental profits on 50/50
basis and at the same time be reassured that the property is professionally maintained and safe in the knowledge
that there are no security concerns.
St Lucia is attracting more attention and was recently voted as the fourth most beautiful island in the world by
Conde Nast Traveller readers. In addition, it still offers good value for money compared to many other Caribbean
destinations and the fact that the island will be hosting the England cricket team in the 2007 cricket World Cup
will continue to drive visitors to the island. Property prices have risen 40% over the last two years and are expected
to continue.
50% of the units have already been reserved by investors quick to spot the potential of this new property development.
“The overwhelming positive sales situation is a testament to the increasing interest in St Lucia and the amazing
quality of the development. To own an apartment in Cap Maison brings with it everything you could want from owning
an overseas home but without the hassle or worries – just pure pleasure, self-indulgence and pampering,” says Rufus
Gobat, Sales Manager for the development.
The spacious and luxurious apartments are designed for tropical living and influenced by Caribbean and Mexican
architecture. Each property has a generously oversized private garden or roof terrace, enhanced by a private plunge
pool and, naturally a stunning ocean view. There are two swimming pools within the grounds and there is direct
access to Smugglers Cove Beach.
Owners enjoy privileged access to a world class spa, tennis and squash courts as well as to St Lucia Golf &
Country Club, all within a three minute drive from the property. In addition, the island offers a host of activities
such as snorkelling, yachting and deep-sea fishing.
Cap Maison is being developed by Theo Gobat, pioneer of St. Lucian and Caribbean tourism over the past 30 years.
Theo Gobat successfully developed, operated and owned various hotels in St. Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, Kenya and
Mexico and is well known and respected in the Caribbean tourism sector.
