Press Release: Concord Servicing Corporation
July 19, 2005
SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- Concord Servicing Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of Joy T. Powers (formerly
Talbot), RRP, to its staff as Director of Business Development. Joy will join the business development team of
Sr. VP of Operations Shaun W. O'Neill, VP of Business Development Sharon B. Drechsler, VP of Collections Kevin
L. Little and Director of Business Development, Latin America Juan Pablo Saiz.
Powers' responsibilities include maintaining relationships with Concord clients, as well as introducing Concord
to prospective, new clients. Concord Servicing Corporation specializes in the servicing and collections of installment
loan receivables and maintenance fees for resort clients in the U.S., Mexico and Caribbean.
She will be based in Concord's Orlando office at 2295 S. Hiawassee Road, Suite 305, Office #6, Orlando, FL 32835.
Her email address is jpowers@concordservicing.com; her direct line is 321-293-0293 and fax is 321-293-0291.
Joy began her career in the timeshare industry in 1986 as an account manager for Resort Condominiums International
(RCI). She was most recently RCI's Southeast Regional Director, Global Business Group. She has also worked for
resort developers Starwood Vacation Ownership and Island One Resorts/Club Navigo. Although she will be officed
in the Orlando regional office of Concord, she will be available to work with clients and prospects throughout
the eastern part of the United States.
"One of my greatest challenges," Joy says, "will be to help current and prospective clients better
understand and utilize Concord's real-time, online capabilities. I also see a lot of potential in the industry
for the use of Concord's Default Collections Department for default collections and recovery services."
Concord President and CEO Robert W. Bertrand says, "We are privileged and excited to have Joy join our business
development team. She has excellent communication skills and will be instrumental in helping resort developers
and management entities determine how to best utilize their own internal resources and match them to Concord's
services. Many resorts prefer to maintain their own, in-house collections and customer service departments and
co-source with Concord, using our ASP-modeled Internet access to software functionality, while others prefer to
outsource the entire process to Concord's professional staff. Joy understands that her role is to educate the
client about Concord's collections capability and our award-winning technology, particularly with regard to both
consumer and client-level online access."
Concord Servicing Corporation is a recipient of the ARDA Circle of Excellence Award for Innovation in Technology
for 2004 and is the vacation ownership industry's premier company specializing in servicing and collecting installment
loan receivables and maintenance fees for clients with resorts located in the U.S., Caribbean and Mexico. Visit
