Press Release: ARDA International Foundation
February 22, 2005
WASHINGTON, DC -- Picture this - you and three of your closest friends standing on the first tee, ready to play
a round of golf on a beautiful April afternoon. As you prepare to tee off, your eyes take in the golden sunbeams
shining down on an emerald fairway and bouncing off the surface of pristine white sand traps and azure blue waters.
You swing and thwack! Your ball is flying toward the green. Could it get any better than this?
Absolutely! Because you are your friends are competing in the first annual Timeshare Sales Professional Golf Tournament.
This tournament within a tournament is part of the fourth annual AIF Open Golf Tournament. Since its inception,
the AIF Open, a charitable golf outing (all net proceeds support timeshare industry research and education programming),
has become the "must attend" networking event for ARDA Convention attendees.
This year's tournament will tee off on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at the beautiful ChampionsGate Golf Resort, home
to two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by world-renown golfer and course architect Greg Norman. The
format of this year's tournament will be a modified scramble that allows each individual to play their own ball
on each hole after selecting the best drive of the group.
The Greg Norman designed courses offer two very unique golf experiences on a single site. The International Course
features a links-style lay-out, similar to the grand old courses in Scotland and Ireland. In the tradition of
American-style golf, the National Course tests player skills with its unique bunkering, tree-lined fairways and
challenging greens.
Before teeing off you can hone your skills on the Callaway practice facility which consists of a practice area,
putting green and short game area. On course the Prolink GPS system will also give you the opportunity to improve
your skills and enhance your overall play.
The Timeshare Sales Professional Tournament is exclusively for sales professionals. Put together your organization's
best foursome and come on out and compete for the championship. A special trophy will be awarded to the winning
sales team. In addition, you and your team members will also be competing for a host of other prizes and trophies
along with all of the AIF Open participants.
The team registration fee is $1,400 and includes: greens fees, carts, unlimited practice balls on the driving
range, entry into all specialty contests (hole-in-one, longest drive, closest to the pin), tee bag, shirt, lunch,
three on-course complimentary drink tickets, two raffle tickets and an invitation to the awards cocktail reception.
And of course the golf course is a great way to build team skills, meet other industry professionals and renew
old friendships.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to support the industry that has given so much to you. Enroll your team today
