MT. LAUREL, NJ -- Cendant Mortgage, a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation (NYSE: CD), has been named the 2004 Employer
of Distinction in New Jersey by the Garden State Council Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Cendant Mortgage was selected for the honor based on its all-around excellence in the categories of: recruitment
and selection, compensation, benefits, training and development, managing workplace diversity, integration of work
and family values, and health, safety and security. Past Garden State Council SHRM award winners include Federal
Express, Johnson & Johnson and Prudential Insurance Company of America.
The Employer of Distinction award was presented to Cendant Mortgage during the Garden State Council SHRM's recent
annual conference and expo held in Princeton, N.J. Paris Couturiaux, senior vice president of human resources,
public relations and administration for Cendant Mortgage, accepted the award on behalf of the Company.
Cendant Mortgage and its "team players" (employees) have been lauded for a variety of achievements in
recent years. In 1999, the Cendant Mortgage Human Resources department was ranked No. 1 in the U.S. by HR Executive
Magazine. Also in 1999, Couturiaux personally received the Society for Human Resources Award for Professional Excellence
and the Employment Management Association's Pericles Achievement Award. In 2002, Cendant Mortgage was named "Best
Employer for Working Parents" by the Delaware Valley Child Care Council. In each of the past two years, the
