Total Public Relations-PAMCON Joint Venture Offers Hispanic Marketing To Vacation Ownership Industry

Press Release: Total Public Relations
May 28, 2004
MIAMI, FL -- Total Public Relations, one of the vacation ownership’s leading public relations, marketing and communications firms, has formed a joint venture with PAMCON, Inc., an international marketing consulting company, to offer results-oriented Hispanic marketing to the vacation ownership industry.

“We’re very proud to announce the expansion of our marketing capabilities with our partnership with PAMCON,” said TPR President Lewis C. Matusow. “For years, our industry hasn’t focused on this continually expanding market, both in Florida and nationally. With the advent of ‘do not call’ lists, industry marketers are seeking a variety of ways to reach their prospects. Now is the time to reach out to Hispanics, a growing, affluent market.”

Enrique J. Pérez, one of the Western Hemisphere’s leading Hispanic marketers for more than 30 years, is president of PAMCON (publishing, advertising and marketing consulting services). Prior to forming PAMCON, Perez headed marketing, communications and sales for the international division of Editorial Televisa, the largest Spanish-language consumer magazine publishing company in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic Market. He began his career in the tourism industry as public relations agent.

“Hispanic marketing has become much more sophisticated over the past 10 or 15 years,” said Pérez, a published author and featured seminar speaker on the U.S. Hispanic and Latin America markets. “It is not enough to simply translate English marketing pieces. There are certain images that need to be portrayed and certain key phrases that will help turn the reader into a prospect. In addition, the manner in which Hispanic prospects are handled—when they respond to a marketing piece and when they reach the resort—will play a key role in the success of any marketing program.”
