Press Release: Tamarack Resort
May 14, 2004
DONNELLY, ID -- Michael Ferensowicz ("Fair-ehn-sovich"), a 20-year veteran in resort commercial development
from Squaw Valley, California, has recently signed on to the Tamarack Resort executive team as Director of Village
Development.
As we begin to move into the next exciting phase of our developmen -- our village core -- Michael will be a tremendous
asset in planning for a vibrant commercial area," said Jean-Pierre Boespflug, CEO of Tamarack Resort. "Our
mixed use, European-style village will integrate restaurants, specialty shops and intimate living spaces all within
an easy walk of our ski mountain, meadow golf course and lake waterfront."
Ferensowicz left his post as Director of Commercial Development and Leasing at Squaw Valley, an affiliate of the
Intrawest Resort Development Group, to accept the position at Tamarack. At Squaw Village, he was also Commercial
Director for the boards of directors of both the Squaw Village Neighborhood Association and the Homeowners Association.
"I am delighted to be joining the Tamarack Team," Ferensowicz said. "The attention to detail to
provide an extraordinary level of guest experience and Tamarack's respect for the environment creates a quality
of life in a resort setting that is unmatched in the continental U.S."
Ferensowicz holds a bachelors degree from Harvard and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston. He is an avid
sports enthusiast with interests in golf, ice hockey, and coaching youth soccer and softball.
