Press Release: Taleo Corporation
December 22, 2004
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Taleo Corporation, the leading provider of enterprise talent management solutions and services,
yesterday announced that Cendant Corporation, a premier provider of travel and residential real estate services
to businesses and consumers, has successfully completed its Phase One global implementation of Taleo's enterprise
talent management solutions.
Phase One of the implementation replaced Cendant's existing, first generation applicant tracking system (ATS) with
Taleo's enterprise talent management solutions, throughout business units in Cendant's North America, Europe and
Asia Pacific operations. With Taleo's talent management solutions, including Taleo Professional, Taleo Workforce
Mobility and Taleo Agency, Cendant is now able to manage all types of hires on a single technology platform, ensuring
global consistency throughout its internal mobility and staffing processes.
"Cendant maintains many of the world's most recognized global brands throughout our business units including
Orbitz, Sotheby's, Avis, and Ramada, and it was important to us to partner with a company who has helped other
leading global organizations to further productivity through effective human capital management," said Freddye
Silverman, vice president, HR technology solutions, Cendant Corporation. She continued, "Taleo's solutions
are extremely flexible, which allows our business units to easily configure solutions that meet the unique needs
of their business, including individual branding specifications."
"We selected Taleo because of the company's ability to demonstrate proven results, process efficiencies, and
impressive cost benefit analysis for its other large and global customers. Our implementation was very successful
and we look forward to expanding the scope of the Taleo solutions to help us ensure process and cost efficiencies
globally," added Silverman.
Taleo Agency, a solution designed to easily link organizations with staffing agencies to further streamline the
process and ensure pricing consistencies, was also implemented at Cendant. Taleo's team of consultants worked to
ensure that 130 agencies will utilize Taleo Agency to refer candidates and track agency ownership. Global staffing
metrics and reporting capabilities were also implemented, providing Cendant with key benchmarks and statistics
to help measure, improve and evolve talent management programs to further enhance productivity through increasing
process consistency.
Taleo Chairman and CEO Louis Tetu stated, "We are very pleased to be working with Cendant to provide them
with enterprise talent management solutions and look forward to working closely with them as a partner in their
human capital management efforts. We are confident that we will deliver increased productivity, retention and quality
of hire to Cendant and look forward to helping them achieve significant enterprise value through staffing management."
Plans for Cendant's Phase Two roll out include further implementations of Taleo's solutions to other global entities
and business units. As part of Phase Two, Cendant is also considering potential integrations with third parties
through Taleo's Partner Staffing Services (T/PaSS), that offers staffing services along the staffing supply chain,
including background checks, tax credit screening, and reference checking, among others.
