Press Release: Time4Sharing
December 15, 2004
BEIRUT, Lebanon -- Time4sharing, the charity that uses volunteers who have timeshare jobs as volunteers for underprivileged
kids, organized its most recent 'fun day" in Bratislava, Slovakia on Sunday, December 12th, 2004 with the
country's national football tournament.
"The project is called `Goals 4 Kids'," said Mike Tolan, co-founder of Time4sharing.org.
"We enlisted the National Football association as good will ambassadors in the Slovak Republic to support
this project and to create an opportunity for the orphan children of Slovakia to get closer to their sports idols
through this alliance," he added.
The "Goals 4 Kids" project is totally a volunteer program by sports celebrities who donate their time
and share it with others less fortunate. "The children are awestruck by their sports heroes and they are really
terrific role models for them." Platinum Volunteers from Lebanon, Malta and the Czech Republic, joined the
Slovak staff in organizing the event and joining with the kids, said Petra Reisova, Coordinator of the event.
Platinum International, a timeshare marketer in Central Europe and World Class Vacation Club, a timeshare club
developer, were the main sponsors of the event.
The children were escorted by boomerang, the charity mascot, and were hosted as VIP guests at the games by the
Chairman, Dusan Titell, of the National Team.
"We are proud to be able to help in any way," said Tittle. "Time4sharing is a great organization
to work with, they have helped Unesco here and many orphanages, we could not say no, It's our Honor," he added.
Time4sharing was honored after the tournament by being called onto the field with their kangaroo and have pictures
taken with the star players. All the of the children were also given Footballs to take home, which were autographed
by the players and boomerang. The children were also on local television featured as VIP Guest of the football
association.
Time4sharing will be invited to their annual awards banquet later this month where the charity will officially
'adopt' all the players of the team as 'Goodwill Ambassadors' in order to set up special sporting days for underprivileged
kids throughout the year.
The charity had also just completed its Christmas Fun day for kids in Prague just one day before, and is preparing
its annual Christmas Programs in Malta, Lebanon and Slovakia later this month.
