Shell Vacations Club Chooses the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution

COLUMBIA, MD -- MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that Shell Vacations Club, L.P., one of the nation's largest independent vacation ownership developers, currently operating 17 resorts in six states and Canada and various preview centers, has chosen the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution as its strategic technology platform across the Shell Vacations brand. The MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution will be installed in all corporate locations across the United States and will be recommended to all future Shell Vacations Club franchisees.

The MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution includes the OPERA Reservation System, OPERA Property Management System, OPERA Web Suite, OPERA Revenue Management, and MICROS-Fidelio Financials (powered by Sun Systems). The suite of solutions will allow seamless connectivity to Shell Vacations' proprietary timeshare system.
