Press Release: The Lodge at Lincoln Peak
April 20, 2004
WARREN, VT -- Sugarbush Resort's Lodge at Lincoln Peak, a one-of-a-kind, luxury ownership property set in Vermont's
idyllic Mad River Valley, continues to sell residences at a stunning clip. The Resort has already achieved 25%
of its sales goal placing $23 million under contract before even breaking ground on the new Lodge. Construction
will begin this May with the roof expected to be in place by the fall.
Along with rapid sales, the Lodge at Lincoln Peak has experienced a remarkable trend. Buyers are purchasing residences
at The Lodge without visiting the property.
"We believe the numerous 'site unseen' sales, several of which were completed in under 24 hours, are a result
of several factors," said Mark English, director of sales at The Lodge at Lincoln Peak.
"First is the revitalization Sugarbush Resort has experienced since coming under the ownership of Summit Ventures
NE, LLC. This partnership of Win Smith, Bob Ackland and Adam Greshin has restored faith not only in the future
of the Mad River Valley, but in the vision of Sugarbush Resort. In addition, a lot of stakeholders in the new luxury
lodge are family focused and see The Lodge at Lincoln Peak as an opportunity to create a legacy for succeeding
generations. They view these first-class residences with access to all that the Mad River Valley offers as ideal
for active family gatherings year-round."
The Lodge at Lincoln Peak, the only ski-in, ski-out accommodation at Sugarbush, will have 141 mountain residences
ranging in size from studios and efficient one-bedroom units to luxurious premium three-bedroom suites. All residences
will feature high ceilings, designer selected furniture, kitchens, fireplaces, balconies and a host of other amenities
that will position The Lodge as one the top destination properties in North America. Boston-based Leggat McCall
Properties is overseeing the design and construction of the new Lodge.
