This new NauticBlue base is located in Athens, Greece only six miles from the heart of this historic and culturally rich city. As the ancient trading capital of the Mediterranean, Athens is the gateway to the beautiful Saronic Gulf and over 3,000 Greek islands. The Greek isles offer a blend of the old and new as a typical evening ashore may be spent on an island that allows only donkeys for transportation while providing numerous waterfront restaurants or local tavernas for a unique dining experience under the stars. Short cruises will bring you to islands such as Poros offering beautiful architecture and narrow streets or Hydra known for its numerous shops, galleries and cafes and the absence of automobiles. Many of these islands also provide the opportunity to drop anchor in a cove where you can swim in crystal clear waters and explore ancient ruins along the shore.
