LONG BEACH, CA--Design Consultants, Inc., one of the hospitality industry's leading full service design firms,
has been chosen to handle the interior design of two Southern California resorts.
The two resorts, The Sands Hotel of Indian Wells in Indian Wells, CA and Desert Vacation Villas in nearby Palm
Springs, CA, are currently undergoing extensive renovation.
Headed by President and Principal-in-charge of Interior Design Judy Womack, CID, Design Consultants is an award
winning company that provides fully integrated architecture, interior design purchasing and construction management
services to the hospitality industry. DCI has offices in California, Texas and Florida.
The renovation of The Sands of Indian Wells, located in one of the country’s most affluent areas, encompasses the
interiors of 47 studio and one-bedroom units. In addition, some of the villas are being redesigned as studio/one
bedroom lockoff units to provide owners--and the resort--with more flexibility.
At Desert Vacation Villas, a classic mid-century resort in old Palm Springs, Design Consultants will oversee the
interior renovation of 36 two-bedroom units.
According to Womack, the complete renovation of this boutique resort will be done in a rich, cool desert color
scheme with classic contemporary styling. Custom designed casegoods from Womack’s new casegood line, "4 Design
Sake" will enhance the resort’s new look and give it more versatility.
Both renovations will include one ADA conversion.
