REDMUND, WA -- The WorldMark Pinetop resort re-opened yesterday after being closed for the past week due to wildfire evacuation. A team of resort employees began cleaning up the resort on Saturday to prepare for guests' arrival for the 4th of July holiday.

"We are very fortunate that the fire was held at bay before it reached Pinetop. The firefighters have done tremendous job ensuring the safety of the communities threatened by the blaze," stated Dave Herrick, Vice President of Operations.

West of Pinetop, in Overgaard, the WorldMark Bison Ranch resort is still evacuated. Reports are positive, though, saying that the WorldMark condominiums were among the buildings left unharmed by the fire. At this time, it is unknown when the evacuation order will be lifted.
